Life Skills Session: Bereavement – New Date

Life Skills Session โ€“ Bereavement

Please note that our Life Skills session on Bereavement has been rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances.

The session will now take place on:

๐Ÿ“… Thursday 12 March
โฐ 12:30 โ€“ 14:30
๐Ÿ“ Pavilion on the Park

About the session

The session will be delivered by Simon Says, who support people affected by grief and loss. All other details remain the same.

This Life Skills session has been designed to:

  • Provide a safe, supportive environment to talk or listen
  • Help people understand what grief is and how it can affect us
  • Share coping strategies and practical support
  • Bring people together who may have had similar experiences

Bereavement can be a very difficult experience. Many of our members have lost someone close in recent years, and we recognise that people may need time, space, and support to understand their feelings.

This session aims to help participants understand bereavement, explore ways of coping, and spend time in a supportive group environment.

The session is open to everyone: members, family members, carers, support workers and anyone who feels it would be useful. People can join in as much or as little as they feel comfortable.

Lunch will be provided, including sandwiches, crisps, and a soft drink.

How to book

If you have already booked, your place will carry over to the new date.

Booking is essential. We encourage members and supporters to book using our Eventbrite link, as this helps us manage numbers and plan the session safely.

We understand that online booking is not always easy for everyone. If booking online is difficult, please contact us and we will be happy to help. There will also be opportunities to book and pay in person.

As always, if you need to contact us, you can do so by emailing clare.shaw@ebrmencap.org.uk or calling 07853 204150.
