We were very saddened to learn of the passing of Jack Wilson on 25th December 2025. Jack was our oldest active member and a much-loved part of our club community.
Jack was a dedicated and regular member of our clubs for many years. Gardening Club was his true passion; he loved growing vegetables, but always made sure there were plenty of colourful flowers among them. He took great pride in keeping the slabs clear of weeds around the picnic bench and chairs, and he was well known for being very particular about his cup of tea – it always had to be just right.
Jack also enjoyed attending Basketball Club and continued to play for as long as his health allowed. Even when he was no longer able to take part, he still came along to watch and support others.
A great character and natural socialiser, Jack always attended our functions and was loved by everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed by all of us, and we remember him with fondness and gratitude for the joy and friendship he brought to the club.
