Eastleigh Borough & Romsey Mencap is pleased to announce the launch of our first Life Skills session, taking place on Tuesday 20 January at Pavilion on the Park.
This session will focus on Bereavement and will be delivered by Simon Says, a local charity with extensive experience supporting people who are coping with grief and loss.
About the session
Bereavement can be a very difficult experience. Many of our members have lost someone close in recent years, and we recognise that people may need time, space, and support to understand their feelings.
This Life Skills session has been designed to:
- Help people understand what grief is and how it can affect us
- Share coping strategies and practical support
- Provide a safe, supportive environment to talk or listen
- Bring people together who may have had similar experiences
The session will be gentle, supportive, and inclusive. People can take part in a way that feels comfortable for them. There is no pressure to speak if they do not want to.
